I grew up in Cascade, Montana and moved to California when I was 21. While there, I interned in a sleep center as a part of my respiratory therapy school in the bay area of California. I fell in love with the transformation of patients who were practically dying in their sleep to watching that sleep become normal in the space of 1-2 nights in the sleep lab. I love a great “before and after” story so I was immediately hooked on sleep medicine.

After graduation I worked nightshifts in larger hospital in San Jose. I could not wait to move back home to Montana. A place where one can raise a family and kids can still safely play outside in the front yard and walk home from school. I moved back to Helena in 1990 and worked as an respiratory therapist in homecare for 12.5 years. That experience gave me a wealth of knowledge on how to help patients acclimate and be successful with their CPAP therapy in the home.

In 2002 my co-worker Shelley Schiavon and I decided to open our own sleep lab. In March of 2003 we achieved that goal and it has been such an incredible experience and honor to serve those who suffer from poor sleep. In 2009 we opened the Butte location and in 2014 we opened the Missoula location. We currently have 13 FT employees and 2 PT employees.

My father told me that to find something to do that I loved and I would not ever feel like it was work. He was so right about that. I love what I do and my staff appreciates that I remain a complete sleep geek. It has always been our goal to improve the quality of our patient’s lives by improving the quality of their sleep. The “before and after” transformations continue to amaze me everyday. Yvette Worman
